The Wait

Long is the time we must wait
All we can do now is to remind ourselves
That we have a future together
All we have to do is to hold on to it

As the winds of time passes by
As our love lays dormant
Restricted by our common sense
And God-given wisdom

Like the wine that is stored in an oak barrel
As time have its way with it
Until the time comes for it to be drank
So shall our love be like

I shall wait for you no matter what
For you, I shall wait
May Patience have her way with me
And Wisdom to remind me

Wait for thee shall I
Until the day when Winter gives way to Spring
Like the frost that melts in the sun
So shall my love awake at the sight of thee

I look forward to that day
When I see you on the hill
With your mesmerizing smile that melts my heart
Run to you with all my might shall I

Into your embrace shall I run into
To look into your soft shinning eyes
And to feel your heartbeat
And say "I love you"

Until all these happens
I shall trust God with our love
And let Wisdom guide my every move
As I wait for thee.
