Laying It At The Altar

I'm learning to lay it down at the Altar
All my worries and anxieties
I shall lay it on the Altar
And turn my back from it

May I also learn
Not to look back
And be tempted to take it back
And dwell in it's gloom

Instead
May I learn to fully trust Him
To fight my battle
And to deal with it once and for all

May the Fire of God
Fall from the Heavens
And consume my burdens
Till it's no more
