It's been a year

Hot and humid
Yet a quiet and beautiful afternoon it was

The river was flowing smoothly
The tree covered us from the sun
And blessed us with it's pollens
As we stood on the bridge

Quietness fills the air
As we didn't know what to talk about
Rather
I was mesmerised by you

When we looked into each other's eyes
We connected instantly
Time didn't work on us then
As we admired each other

The walk we took
How memorable it was
The slow stroll
As we admired the flowers and the cats

Exactly a year since that afternoon
Many things has happened then
Beautiful and ugly
Pleasant and painful

Yet those things never affected my love for you
My love for you despite it all
Is now stronger than ever
Because since that day
I've decided deep down
That I want to spend my entire life with you.
